NRA BASIC PISTOL COURSE


A certificate suitable for applying for a Wyoming Concealed Firearms Permit will be awarded after successful completion of the course.  The Wyoming permit is accepted for legal concealed carry in 35 states.


The course includes six hours of classroom and hands-on instruction plus an individual live firing session customized to the applicant’s skill level.  New shooters are welcome!


Course content includes: safety, types and selection of handguns and ammunition, and the fundamentals of pistol shooting.  The course will be taught by NRA Instructor, Bill Tabacinski, a Cody Shooting Complex member with over 30 years experience teaching firearms safety.


Cost is $75 which includes course handbook, ammunition, use of safety gear and firearms, targets, range fee, and certificate.  Class size is limited to eight students with advanced registration required.  Minimum age at time of class is 18.


No firearms or ammunition may be brought to class by any student

Classroom sessions are from 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm.  Attendance at both the Monday and Wednesday sessions is required.  Shooting is by arrangement.  Classroom instruction is held at the Cody Shooting Complex in the NRA building located on the West side of complex across from the shooting bays.
